Strike-GTX i5 Quad-Core Gaming PC
((( IT'S GREAT EXCEPT... )))
It's a great computer except...I'm having some problems with the volume freezing when I try to raise or lower it quickly. I tried re-installing the Windows 7 operating system with the provided Windows 7 disk. Guess I didn't follow the correct procedure by doing a CLEAN INSTALL. So, I wasted my time and efforts. Besides that it's working great except...every time I restart the computer I get an error messages saying that it can't connect to a Windows client. I've researched and followed instructions to get the computer to stop doing that. Nothing works. Besides that...it's great. I may choose to do a clean install as these little things can be annoying. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
Not just for Gaming
We bought this for the church. It is needed to play and record music, create multimedia presentations, record and play video and sometimes all at the same time on three different monitor/projectors. Handles everything we throw at it with ease and asks for more. Never had a crash or even a missed frame. Great system.
INCREDIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Great product.
*** Initial Review: After reading the customer reviews, I bought this computer. I am a gamer. I play Rift and World of Warcraft. Both games require fine equipment to animate the graphics. My Alienware PC animates between 55-100 fps on Ultra settings. My 3 yr old back up Dell PC runs at 23-26 fps on Ultra settings.Having read the glowing reviews, I was very excited. I spent all day loading games & software. Finally tonight, I open World of Warcraft fix my settings at Ultra and find myself sea sick from the lag. This PC was animating the game at 9 fps. I tried several remedies, but even on "High" settings the best I could do was 22 fps. I have a fine monitor, great gaming keyboard & mouse all devoted to the concept of SPEED, this computer could not be considered a "Gaming" computer by any reasonable definition.I will be returning it at some cost to myself since I have already installed Microsoft Office on it. UGH!!! Do not waste your money.*** Again, per the comment below, I want to affirm that I called CybertronPC this morning (I should have done that first before blasting them in a review and spoke with Blake A. It turns out that the tech problem was an owner/operator issue. I had plugged my monitor cord into the wrong port. After making the needed adjustment, my new computer is AMAZING.I offered to expunge the negative review but thought maybe that leaving it would illustrate what an amazing turn around was created by capable, and courteous customer service. My problem is 100% resolved. And I have gone from totally bummed to HAPPY!!!
For a very long time I've wanted to buy an extremely fast, efficient and reliable PC to use for bills and entertainment alike - I finally have it! Since my purchase I bought a new SSD hard drive and another 16 GB of Ram - and installed them myself. Great home PC!
I have had the computer for about 2 months now and it has worked great. My only complaint is when I am playing almost any game the fan alarm for the graphics cards goes off all the time even when the fan is at full speed. I guess I will have to upgrade the fan but the alarm is super annoying. Everything else about the computer has been good.
I am enjoying this product very much. All of my wildest dreams have come true.If I was ever asked the question, would you recommend this computer to a friend or relative, I would be certain to answer in the affirmative.
Deal with cybertron not Amazon
Customer support with Cybertron was very goodHad to have first one replaced and second one would not power on. Seems as though reseating the emory helped with that issue.Up and running after that
I bought the CybertronPC Strike-GTX Gaming PC, arrived OK. I can't comment on the operation, since I haven't run it very much as yet. However, I was disappointed to find a couple things missing (which I should have noted in the specs), namely a wireless card for internet, and slots for the SD/Flash/etc cards used in cameras, etc. I was also pretty mad that there was no decent user manual enclosed, and when I emailed Cybertron about this, they said "We don't really offer a user manual". And because of the dual-card nature of the nVidia boards, it kinda NEEDS a manual.
At a fantastic price, my son is gamer, he has had quite a few gaming computers, he is so impressed with this one.
Great bang for the buck
I was hesitant to buy a pre-built system as you never really fully know what you are going to get.I took it out of the box, and everything is included - all the booklets for the hardware and the motherboard and video card CDs with drivers are included. The only thing I wish they had left was the extra expansion card covers, but for most poeple this won't be a problem. They can be ordered off amazon in any case (which I did as I put a single GTX 670 card I already had into it, replacing the SLI setup). It fired right up and asked for info to set up Windows, then activated Windows without issue. You do NOT get a Windows install CD with it, just in case you are wondering. (I bought that with the system as well as some other parts I'll explain below).I was curious what the Windows experience would say so I tested it and it got a 7.6 (out of 7.9) for the CPU, 7.9 for memory, 7.8 for both graphics categories and 5.6 for the hard drive. I expected a bit better on the hard drive as it's a Seagate 7200 drive on Sata III, but that's what I got.I made some mods, as I mentioned putting in my GTX 670, and adding a Samsung SSD, transferring over the data from the hard drive, and setting it as the boot drive in the BIOS. I then retested and the CPU and memory were the same as expected, graphics was now 7.9, and the disk was also now 7.9. From hitting the start button to being booted into Windows and ready to go is under a minute - I timed it. (Again please note it's NOT this fast out of the box but with an SSD).The fan control on the case is a nice touch and it has plenty of fans. It was well-constructed. The motherboard was the z68 chipset, the power supply was an In-Win commander II (850 watts), the hard drive was Seagate as mentioned, and the SLI video cards were PNY.It came with the programs for using the BD drive, Avast free version anti-virus, a program to clean your cookies and a freeware Office clone which I deleted as I put in the real thing. So far I've had it for a day, but it runs and performs well. I'm eager to try out some games and see how much faster this is than what I was using.Based on what I've seen so far I give this a thumbs up. If it performs as expected and stands the test of time, I'll be very pleased, and if it doesn't I'll update this review.
Amazing worth every penny!
This is my first pc purchase that was customized, they have an amazing system to keep you updated on the progress of the computer. This particular pc I customized on their website and received it within a week and a half. (I purchased it Christmas Eve). The computer was packaged very well, inside and out, it was loaded with foam! I was so pleased to see how well they take care of their products! The computer runs anything and everything I could ever imagine it to! A huge bonus is that I have the ability to upgrade the computer from CybertronPC without any issues, they make sure everything is compatible! I am very glad I picked this company, and more importantly, this computer in particular. I can play Battlefield 3 on half ultra/high settings with 60FPS - No lag, what so ever! It's worth the money, they have great customer service and stand behind their product! I will purchase my next pc from them without a second thought! This computer is worth the money! BUY IT!
